小班化宏志教育特色校——扬州市田家炳实验中学
扬州市田家炳实验中学(原扬州市第五中学),位于历史悠久的古城区皮市街,东邻朱自清故居,南连晚清第一园何园。学校创建于1948年,是一所有着近七十年办学历史、文化底蕴深厚、师资优秀、特色鲜明的公办独立初中。
学校拥有一支高素质的教师队伍,涌现出全国劳动模范,江苏省特级教师,江苏省首批名教师,江苏省模范教师等一大批知名教师。先后获得江苏省实施教育现代化工程示范初中、江苏省平安校园、江苏省健康促进金牌学校、江苏省节水型单位、江苏省毒品预防教育示范校等荣誉称号。
2007年学校全面推行小班化教育模式,每班级人数严格控制在35人以下;2013年学校承担了扬州市区初中宏志教育的重任,每年有近两百名品学兼优的学生得到资助。面对扬州市民的殷切希望,学校不断探索小班化宏志教育的发展方向,形成了以爱为核心的学校精神,在“博”“精”“雅”校训的引领下,秉持“书声、歌声、笑声”的办学理念,提出了“关爱每一个学生”的教育要求,坚持“以父母之心办学校”“以父母之心做教师”,将学生的需要和发展作为学校办学的第一要义。
在教学管理上,聚焦课堂,以质量为魂,学校提出了“六个十”课堂教学要求、探索“分层达标,分步递进”课堂教学模式,充分调动学生的学习热情,确保学生的参与度和课堂的高效率,充分发挥小班化的优势。在德育管理上,拓展素质,以育人为本,学校引进了香港田家炳基金会“共创成长路”正面培育计划,启动了“四会六有”工程,推动学生自主发展;研究宏志教育特点,探索宏志教育路径,组织宏志教育品牌活动,弘扬“自强、勤奋、感恩”宏志精神,激发学生做“特别能吃苦、特别懂事、特别争气”宏志生的内驱力,全面提升学生的基础道德素养;在行政管理上,制订了《精致是这样炼成的》80种管理流程,确保学校教育教学和管理有序运行,实现工作的规范化,提升落实的效能。

In 2007, small-sized class teaching model was fully implemented, with each class no more than 35 students. In 2013, the school was responsible for Hongzhi Education, since when nearly 200 excellent students are subsidized each year. Faced with the eager anticipation of citizens, the school continues to find a good way forward for Hongzhi Education and thus creates the love-centered school spirit. Guided by the school motto, ‘Erudition, Excellence, Elegance’ and the school ethos, ‘Reading, Singing, Laughing’, the school puts forward the requirement of ‘Loving Every Student’ and adheres to the principle of ‘Running the School with Parental Love’ and ‘Teaching Students with Parental Love’. Students’ need and development is the first priority of running the school.
In terms of teaching management, the school attempts to promote classroom teaching and improve teaching quality. The teaching requirement, ‘Six Tens’, and the teaching pattern, ‘Step-level’, have been proposed to motivate student learning, encourage student participation and ensure teaching efficiency. With these efforts, small-sized class teaching delivers satisfactory results. In terms of moral education, the school puts quality education first. The scheme ‘P.A.T.H.S. to Adulthood’ led by Tin Ka Ping Foundation has been introduced and the project ‘Four Cans and Six Haves’ has been launched to facilitate student independent development. The school also explores the features and the development path of Hongzhi Education. By organizing related activities, the school advocates the spirit of ‘self-improvement, diligence and gratitude’ to inspire students to be ‘hard-working, intelligent and outstanding’ and to vigorously enhance students’ moral quality.
